Sometime in 2009, the film The Darkest Evil will come to light. Starring Jeffrey Combs as the half monstrosity Wilbur Whatley and Dean Stockwell as Dr Henry Armitage, a professor and librarian at Miskatonic University dedicated to defeating the evils of the Cthulhu mythos. The movie is a new iteration of the classic H P Lovecraft tale The Dunwich Horror.

Of particular interest is Dean Stockwell, who starred in another movie version of this Lovecraft story -called rightly The Dunwich Horror. Sadly, filmed in the 1970’s and starring the popular Sandra Dee, Dean Stockwell’s version of Wilbur Whatley failed to capture the real horror of the story.
